"Robert Johnson's Internal Fire"

Inspired by Robert Johnson, a famous blues musician from the Mississippi Delta. Folklore tells a tale of a soul's journey and an infamous 7th string on his guitar. Having grown up listening to his music and paying respects to his gravestones (yes, there is more than one...), this painting was created before I even knew who it was meant to homage. The pure wonderment experienced from untethered soulful creations, I will never tire. Frenetic, powerful, and intriguing, this piece asks the viewer to take a closer look and open the mind.
